Activating each of us so more know the way of Jesus and find Community, Justice and Love is a blessed calling of the ELCA! One million is audacious but all is possible through God! Emmanuel Academies is accompanying and in full alignment with the ELCA as we participate in the formation of new ELCA Lutheran pastors with our programs led by former Presidents and Provosts, faculty and graduates of ELCA seminaries. The diversity of the ELCA in location, membership and ways of practice is a gift to the world. The ELCA's willingness to innovate, develop new models, as well as forming leaders within their own contexts and communities will all contribute to future success and attainment of audacious but Spirit-led objectives!

There's nothing I can do to deserve God's love. There's nothing I can do to NOT deserve God's love. I find great freedom in that.

ELCA is great! Love you!

Set free to love your neighbor? Hope it is that simple? Service? That is what Jesus preaches? So most Christian denominations in the world. We live in this world Bishop. This world not that simple! So diverse? So many tribes? You want to be a Lutheran tribe? Why not S. Baptist or Methodist? They all preach the same thing. Love God love your neighbor. Message here for 2000 years. You want Lutherans to own it when it is free to anyone. Sorry Bishop. I come from W. Godavari Dt in AP India where my mother comes from. I attended a Lutheran Church started by U.S missionaries from Pennsylvania. It was not much of a Church. It was a thatched shed serving both as a Church & grade school I attended. I see no point in dividing Jesus into so many denominations when message the same!
